EcoTransIT World at IATA Headquarters in Geneva – Exchange on CO₂Connect and ISO 14083

On 12 November 2025, Ralph Anthes visited the International Air Transport Association (IATA) headquarters in Geneva for a full day dedicated to CO₂Connect. The initiative aims to collect and process primary airline data and make it available to stakeholders in a manner compliant with ISO 14083. EcoTransIT World is contributing to this effort as part of the ongoing pilot project.

The day began with the CO₂ Task Force Workshop focusing on freight emissions. In a small group of experts, participants discussed the current status of the pilot project and the next steps. The session, moderated by Alina Ispas, enabled a constructive exchange among representatives from IATA, EcoTransIT World, and several customer and partner organisations.

In the afternoon, the CO₂ Data Workshop followed, featuring presentations and panel discussions on various aspects of CO₂Connect. The agenda covered both passenger and freight emissions and provided insights into the progress of the initiative.

A central element of the day was the signing of a letter of intent by Ralph Anthes and Marie Owens Thomsen, formally confirming the continued collaboration within the CO₂Connect framework.

EcoTransIT World would like to thank IATA for the well-organised and focused event and looks forward to supporting the next stages of this important cooperation.
