Methodical Partners

The Ingenieurgesellschaft für Verkehrs- und Eisenbahnwesen (IVE mbH) is a consulting and software development company. IVE mbH has created the methodical basis for routing the distances of intermodal transports across the world in EcoTransIT® World. The transport networks are constantly updated. IVE is the entity for the development and technical implementation of the EcoTransIT® software.
The Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (ifeu) has established itself as an independent competence center in the field of environmental research. The Institute’s expertise covers areas such as the environmental impact of freight transport, energy supply and renewable energy, life cycle analysis, air pollution control, sustainable development, environmental impact assessment and environmental management.
INFRAS provides research and consultancy services on social, economic and environmental issues to policy makers and companies. INFRAS, based in Zurich and Berne, is an independent, private company focused on developing concepts and strategies for sustainable mobility at national and international level.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Material flow and Logistics IML contributes its expertise to the emission assessment of logistics locations. The methodology was develped in cooperation with well-known industrial partners in the research project Green Logistics, which is also referred to by the Global Logistics Emissions Council GLEC.

Member of

Smart Freight Centre (SFC) is an international non-profit organization focused on reducing the emission impacts of global freight transportation. Since its beginnings EcoTransIT World has been actively engaged in the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) and contributed to the development of the GLEC Framework, which formed the basis for the internationally recognized ISO 14083 standard. We also participate in the Clean Cargo (CC) and Clean Air Transport (CAT) programs. These initiatives bring together carriers, forwarders, and cargo owners to track emissions and sharing decarbonization best practices for air and sea freight.
The European Technology Platform ALICE is set-up to develop a comprehensive industry lead strategy for research, innovation and market deployment of logistics and supply chain management in Europe. Leading experts and companies in implementing supply chain and logistics innovation form ALICE aiming at transitioning towards net zero emissions transport & logistics operations in an affordable way. ALICE also supports, assists and advise the European Commission in the implementation of the EU Programs for research: Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.
