We are very proud to announce that EcoTransIT World is the first emission calculation tool which is accredited to be compliant with the global GLEC framework. The Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) framework established by Smart Freight Centre (SFC) has been created to be the leading methodology for freight transports and logistics operations. It allows companies to consistently calculate their GHG footprint across the global multi-modal supply chain.
As part of the accreditation statement SFC confirmed the ETW calculation to be in line with Well-to-Wheel GHG emissions according the the scopes of the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain Accounting and Reporting Standard.
Especially the global geographic coverage together with the ability to calculate all modes of transports (Road, Rail, Air, Inland Waterways, Sea) and Logistics Sites underlines the comprehensive implementation of the GLEC framework. In addition ETW allows flexible integration of customer specific data to model transport and emissions as realistic as possible.
This accreditation is a milestone and a confirmation of our continuous efforts to create and develop a state-of-the-art carbon and emission calculator for the whole global multi-modal supply chain.
